Show 01: an interview with Dr. Michael Cavanagh
In the first of a new series of podcasts TCF launches today, Dr. Michael Cavanagh introduces The Global Convention on Coaching and invites all coaches & stakeholders of coaching to participate.
The Convention is a global initiative designed to generate shared understanding of where coaching is now and where it wants to go? Driven by a desire to protect the future of coaching and tackle head on issues such as industry integrity & evolution, the convention takes the form of 8 working groups which over a year will think about and research 8 key yet fundamental topics in coaching. For example, professional status for coaching; mapping the field of coaching; code of ethics; training guidelines; and the research agenda for the development of coaching.
Michael calls for action from TCF members to get involved, either as a working group member or a consultation group member. He specifically highlights the want for coaching stakeholders from Asia and South America to come forward.
